However, all those are now universities, except RIAT. This is deliberate marginalization which is structural. In the Tenth Parliament, the Member for Juja Constituency who has since been voted out, boasted after we had gone with the President to Ruiru that he was the only Member in the country whose constituency has five universities. He thought that he was amusing me, but this was very painful to me. This was very painful, but it is the truth. There is Mount Kenya University, Kenyatta University (KU), and Jomo Kenyatta University of Technology (JKUAT), United States International University (USIU) and the “Kiambu University.” That is all in one constituency.
