We have seen in other jurisdictions, where minerals have been discovered, they led to civil wars. Regions which are gaining from this are like Kitui, Kwale and Turkana, which formerly were known to be marginalized. Other regions survived because of good climate; examples are Mount Kenya region, Trans Nzoia County and western region."
