    "content": "Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I want to thank hon. Millie Odhiambo-Mabona for coming up with this Bill. It is a very important Bill at this time in our country. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, we have had very many cases which have come up. When you look at the victims that have been affected, usually they have no one to protect them or they do not have anywhere to go. We have had many cases where victims are attacked and at the end of the day, you find that it is your father or a relative who has attacked you. A baby is attacked and he has no voice to speak out. You find a daughter who has been violated by a father living in the same house with the father. Therefore, it is very important that children are protected by leaders in this country.
