"content": "Hon. Members, as I was indicating, this is a Petition regarding non-payment of allowances to clinical officer interns. Standing Order No.225(2)(b) requires that the Speaker reports to the House any Petition other than those presented through a Member. I, therefore, wish to convey to the House that my Office has received a Petition regarding the non-payment of allowances to clinical officers serving as interns in the Ministry of Health. The Petition is signed by five executive committee members of the Kenya Union of Clinical Officers. Among other prayers, the petitioners pray that the National Assembly intervenes to compel the Ministry of Health to pay all allowances to clinical officer interns and set up a budget scheme for the aforementioned interns."
