    "content": "Thank you hon. Deputy Speaker. Hon. Anyanga requested a Statement on Government programs on provision of sport centres of excellence throughout the country, particularly in Nyatike District as follows, He wanted to know the status of the Governments program on provision of sports centres of excellence in the Constituencies as one way of tapping and improving sporting talents of our youth. He wanted to know the plan the Government is has to ensure that sports centres are established in Constituencies, stating budgetary allocation for this project per constituency and timelines on when this project will be implemented. The response is as follows; the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Arts, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Science and Technology and the United Nations International Children Education Fund, has identified selected schools as centres of excellence where sports talent will be nurtured. The schools were selected regionally, depending on availability of relevant facilities as follows: Matuu Girls high School in eastern region for soccer girls and handball girls; two, Maseno School in Nyanza region for basketball and rugby boys"
