Temporary Deputy Speaker, regarding the six constitutional Bills, I would like to confirm that following yesterday’s Cabinet meeting chaired by the President, the following Bills were approved:- Environmental Management Coordination (Amendment) Bill, 2014, the Public Service Values and Principles Bill 2014 and the Persons Deprived of Liberty Bill 2014. Those Bills, as I speak, are within the precincts of Parliament and they should be published by the Government Printer by the end of Saturday evening so that the HBC can deliberate on how to slot those constitutional deadline Bills. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, it is my hope that these Bills will be published over the weekend and introduced to the House next week. I also wish to confirm that the Commission on the Implementation of the Constitution (CIC) in consultation with the Attorney-General has indicated that it may not be very possible for three constitutional Bills to be concluded in good time since there are still holding stakeholders meetings. In this regard, they have advised the House, through the Committee on the Implementation of the Constitution (CIOC), to seek the requisite extension."
