    "content": "Hon. Deputy Speaker, there is also the requirement that, at least, US$500 million must be deposited, especially if you are a company from outside this country before you start mining. We need to be very clear on the ownership of those companies so that even if they put US$500 million as a limit to allow them to do mining, we must also ensure that a certain percentage of their shares is owned by local Kenyans. We need to get the benefit of mining and limit them from doing things that are unknown to Kenyans and that are not directly beneficial to Kenyans."
