    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, this Bill, therefore, is key and urgent as it is the piece of legislation that seeks to operationalize and implement the broad Constitutional principles relating to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission, as well as legislation on the policy matters contained in the 2006 Pay Policy for the Public Service. The Bill seeks to provide for the necessary legal framework for a single institution to set and regularly review the salaries and benefits of all State officers and to advise on the remuneration and benefits of all other public officers."
