    "content": " Hon. Senators, I have also a message to communicate from the National Assembly on the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No. 2) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 33 of 2013). I wish to bring to the attention of the Senate that, pursuant to Standing Order No. 40(3) and (4), the Clerk has delivered to me a message from the National Assembly regarding the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No. 2) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 33 of 2013), which was delivered, pursuant to Standing Order No. 40(2), on 1st August, 2014. It states as follow:- “THAT, the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No. 2) Bill, 2013 (National Assembly Bill No. 33 of 2013), was published in the Kenya Gazette Supplement No.147 of 30th October, 2013 as a Bill originating in the National Assembly and was passed by the National Assembly on 22nd July, 2014 in the form attached hereto; AND FURTHER THAT, the National Assembly now seeks the concurrence of the Senate to the said Bill as passed by the National Assembly.” Hon. Senators, Standing Order No.148 requires that a Bill which originates in the National Assembly be proceeded with by the Senate in the same manner as a Bill introduced in the Senate by way of First Reading in accordance with Standing Order No. 129. I now, therefore, direct that the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) (No. 2) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 33 of 2013) be listed for First Reading, tomorrow, Wednesday, 6th August, 2014. Thank you."
