    "content": "Mr. Chairperson, Sir, I beg to move:- THAT, the Schedule to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendment) Bill, 2014 be amended by deleting the proposed amendment to the Sports Act No.25 of 2013. Mr. Chairperson, Sir, allow me to clarify a point here, this is not my personal amendment as Sen. (Eng.) Muriuki. There is a misprint. It was out of the resolution of the Committee on Labour and Social Welfare and my submission to the Speaker said as much. I said that I am moving on behalf of the Chairperson because he would not be there. That notwithstanding, we do not have any problem with this proposed amendment. The Committee on Labour and Social Welfare is shortly embarking on comprehensive review of the Sports Act as a whole. For that reason, the Committee felt that it would be a good idea to come up with the proposed amendment to that Act.
