"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have a letter here which was written by the Minister. It reads thus:- âThis is to notify you that your nomination as councillor in the County Council of Kirinyaga has been revoked. This revocation is done on the advice of the nominating party, the IIEC and in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Minister by Section 40 of the Local Government Act.â Mr. Speaker, Sir, my problem is the issue of the nominating party. I wish to table the letter from the Party of National Unity (PNU) - where I happen to be the Vice- Chairman - which nominated that particular person on 18th February, 2008."
