    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, this tax regime does not make Kenyans happy. The introduction of VAT has caused a lot of suffering to Kenyans. I appeal to the taxman to make the cost of living easier for Kenyans. This is because he is taxing them to the grave. He should not tax commodities like fuel a lot because Kenyans depend on transport and manufacturers depend on petroleum products and so forth. The taxman should reduce the VAT so that the cost of living can come down."
