    "content": "Finally, the mining and petroleum Acts since 1940’s have been used by colonialists to draw our minerals. I am so pleased to be part and parcel of this effort which is aimed at streamlining the mining, petroleum and other extractive industries. In Turkana lately, a particular group has – I do not know whether I should mention them – has bought blocks very cheaply and gave promises to Turkanas that they will become rich through the oil. They then sell those blocks to somebody else internationally and are not taxed at all. All the obligations that they had have gone with the wind and the new owners have taken advantage.
