Chairlady, whereas I agree that the Constitution allows for limitation of rights and fundamental freedoms, it should be realized that the people of Kenya gave themselves the Bill of Rights for a purpose. This is because of the misuse of the loophole that existed in law. The Committee should have gone to Article 24. It is allowed under Article 24(5)(f) to limit the rights of arrested persons."
