"content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I am just trying to give my interpretation from what I understand as a lawyer, and not as an engineer. My understanding is that Clause 49, if left as it is, would put surveyors within the ambit of engineers. This is especially so in view of Subclause (2) of Clause 49. So, perhaps we intend to put surveyors under the control of engineers, because if you look at the definition section, it does not define the terminologies that the Minister has given. The easier way would have been to provide a definition of the terminologies."
