"content": "Before I begin to bring my issues, I wish to say something about some of the comments that I heard earlier on. Irrespective of whether violence is meted out against a woman or a man who lives in Mathare slums or a man or woman who lives Lavington, it is still violence. Therefore, domestic violence knows no class. Domestic violence cuts across all the social classes, including the rich, the poor, the young, the old, men and women, and boys or girls. Therefore, as we begin to debate this Bill, it is important for us to focus on the real issues of domestic violence."
