    "content": "First of all, we need to appreciate the fact that the definition of “domestic violence” as we knew it in the past is very narrow. It was defined as “inflicting of physical injury by one household member to another household member.” This definition did not recognise other forms of domestic violence such as physical, sexual, psychological and economic forms of violence. So, this particular Bill seeks to broaden the definition of “domestic violence”, so that we can begin to ask ourselves what other forms of violence exist and appreciate them."
