However, panya routes particularly in Busia which is very close to my constituency and the entire western Kenya, Nyanza and now Turkana, pose a problem. This was highlighted by the media. Could we get assurance from the Chairlady that the Ministry has stepped in to provide facilities and is checking the people are using panya routes? Who are these people she is saying are aware? Awareness could just be in the Press. The people who are supposed to handle the entry points are the immigration officers, customs officers and the police. Have they been sensitized to ensure that these people are checked before they enter the country?"
