    "content": "Ganze Constituency, then under Kilifi District is one of the locations in the 44 districts that were identified as having high poverty incidences and was targeted in 2009; each location in respective districts enrolling 750 beneficiary households. The constituency further benefitted by an additional 150 beneficiary households in the just concluded Financial Year, 2013/2014; bringing the total number of poor and vulnerable older persons recipient in the constituency to 900 families. Hon. Deputy Speaker, a few documented case stories of recipient old persons in Ganze Constituency have shown beneficiaries now living in improved houses, investing in livestock and also contributing to the Household food security, health, nutrition and education of children. As stated earlier, the programme is not universal but not all deserving cases are covered. There is a vetting process and criteria used to identify deserving cases.
