Kaluma’s Bill is also trying to repeal Section 26 of the Act which says that a parental responsibility agreement shall have effect for the purpose of this Act, if it is made substantially in the form prescribed by the Chief Justice. This is where one of the parents just goes to court so that he or she can extort money. A child is being used to exhort. This is what this Act is trying to address."
