    "content": "Thank you, hon. Speaker. From the outset, I wish to say that I support this Bill. This Bill has the best interest of our families at heart. It is unfortunate that every time we are talking about social issues, it appears in this House that it is a battle of the sexes. This is not a battle of the sexes. It is a battle of correcting where we have had injustices in the past. It is about putting measures and legal frameworks in place that are going to protect our families and our children’s families and generations to come. This Bill is looking at violence on a wider scale."
