The Committee should state whether an environmental impact assessment was ever undertaken and approved by the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA), provide a detailed environmental impact assessment report and a summary of its mitigation measures. If not so, there should be a confirmation to the House that the construction will not take place until an environmental impact assessment has been undertaken and approved by NEMA. That presupposes that there was any such assessment done. The Statement request belongs to the Committee headed by the indomitable, hon. Amina Abdalla. Hon.
