"content": "Order, hon. Members! The fact that I can see all of you like this shows that you are not even following. This matter is very important. We have received petitions against hon. Members. It is thoroughly important that this Committee considers and examines all situations. As you have heard me say on numerous occasions, I am aware that hon. Members are elected to do all manner of things under the sun. Being in the Chamber is just one of them. Hon. Members get into very many other situations whilst trying to play their representative as well as the oversight role. So, it is important that the point that is being made by the Members of this Committee be considered by all of you. That is why the Committee is seeking an extension of time within which to consider, not just those petitions, but also try and set some rules about how those kinds of petitions are going to be handled going forward."
