"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, you know the clause as contained in the proposed Bill deals with employers who deny permission, or who after a person has gone to give evidence he or she is dismissed from work or certain penalties are visited upon them. We are saying that this is not the proper place to deal with disputes in employment. There is the Employment Act and a proper court set up under Article 162 of the Constitution. This court deals with employment and labour relations. That is the proper place whenever there are any disputes. They cannot be taken before a court dealing with issues of victims. This is because the person who gives evidence is not a victim but a witness."
