In trying to explain what he is doing about the variation of the original contract sum of Kshs983 million to about Kshs1.3 billion, he said that the Committee is dealing with that matter. I want to know what steps the Ministry took, or is taking, to establish the cause of this big variation, because other than the Committee, the Ministry itself must tell us why this variation occurred. The Ministry has a system it can use to establish why the variation occurred. What is the Ministry doing to establish the cause of this variation?"
