"content": "Our people are poor but more informed than in earlier years. After the promulgation of the new Constitution, they have known a lot of what they are expected to do. We have a Government that has good intentions for its citizens. For example, the Leader of Minority highlighted a number of issues that are strong enough to keep us united, and work for the benefit and the interests of our people when we resume back. Despite the challenges, I know we have stuck together as a House. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, we have a responsibility to guide appropriately on the utilization of resources that we have been given by Kenyans. There are many funds that have been devolved like the Uwezo Fund, the CDF and county funds. We need to ensure that they are put into proper use and management to avoid wastage. We need to embrace unity of our people; however there are diversity in opinion. I like the spirit the Members have shown in the House, the maturity and tolerance that has been embraced even outside the House. This is a good gesture."
