"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I have listened very carefully to the Minister on what action was taken following the massacre. It is very worrying that the killings, having started at 7.00 a.m. in the morning, there was no immediate action to actually respond to prevent the killings and to help the affected families. It started with two killings in the morning at 7.00 a.m. and it escalated over time and, by the end of the day, over 40 people had been killed. It took over 24 hours for the Provincial Security Intelligence Committee (PSIC) to visit the area. From the Minister’s official Statement, the official PSIC meeting arrived on 3rd May. That is over 24 hours later. When they arrived, they were not going to actually take action. They were, indeed, in the process of engaging in talks with their counterparts to see what could be done."
