    "content": "The Committee held its sitting on Tuesday, 2nd September 2014, when the nominee appeared and was vetted by it. The Committee, in compliance with the Constitution and other legal requirements and established procedures for vetting, ensured its meetings were open to the public and were covered by the media. The requisite notification to the nominee was given on Tuesday 26th August, 2014; the requisite notices to the public were issued on 26th of August, 2014. Submissions from the public, as required by the law, were received by the Clerk of the National Assembly on Monday, the 1st September 2014. There was only one memorandum from the Kenya Veterans Association; this memorandum was in support of the candidate."
