"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to make a few remarks on this very important Motion which has been brought by a Member of the Panel of Speaker, Sen. Ongoro. I listened to her and as far as analyzing the problem is concerned and as far as various statistics are concerned, they reflect the gravity of this problem. I have been very much concerned with the rights of children ever since I was appointed the Attorney-General. I remember my first taskforce which I appointed was to look into all the issues relating to children and make recommendations on the laws that should be put in place. One of the legislation that we put in place was the Children Act, which in effect was ratifying the United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child. I also want to inform you that---"
