"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is now very clear that the Government has no intention of helping victims of the pyramid schemes. Part âcâ of my Question was very clear: âWhy has the Government failed to institute criminal proceedings against directors, proprietors or officials of these pyramid schemes?â In his answer the Assistant Minister says very clearly that all complaints received from members of the public were channeled to the Banking Fraud Investigation Department. After investigations, he says very clearly that this unit forwarded names to the Attorney-Generalâs office. Is the Assistant Minister confirming that despite the Report by the Nyenze Commission they did not follow the recommendations to institute criminal proceedings against all the directors of the pyramid scheme, but he only dealt with three? This is because the others were politically connected."
