I would also like to relate this to the good report that was presented by the Departmental Committee on Health about the use of National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF). We need to encourage the boda boda riders to register with NHIF. This is an approach that we can use. Talking about the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we realize that the roads as they are do not have a provision where boda boda riders can ride safely. We can ensure that this is provided for during the designing of roads. That way, the riders will not be riding next to vehicles.
