Wetangula, in my considered opinion as the presiding officer, I want to state clearly that every Member has a right, like you have a right, to say what you want to say. You have the freedom of speech, particularly in Parliament where you can say anything under the privilege but even that freedom of speech has its own limits. Order! Order, Sen. Wetangula! Sen. Yusuf Haji, in his contribution, has said what he has said because you called him a sycophant. My understanding of the word “sycophant” must be the same understanding that you have of sycophant and I consider that to be unparliamentarly. Would you like to do the correct thing or would you insist on imputing improper motive on Sen. Haji?"
