Temporary Deputy Chairman, I am also proposing that we add a new clause that reads “a plan giving particulars of the applicant’s proposals with respect to social responsible investments for the local community”. I want to share with the Members that our Committee is trying to ensure that these investors do not give tokenism in form of corporate social responsibility, but goes further into agreeing with the community on socially responsible investments, so that issues of sustainability can be addressed."
