Deputy Speaker, I beg to move the following Motion:- THAT, aware that the Senate passed a Motion that every county should have a public university; further aware that this country traditionally recognizes its heroes and heroines for their contribution towards development in various capacities, and in cognizance of the role played by H.E. the late Hon. Michael Wamalwa Kijana who hailed from Kitale in Trans Nzoia County, this House resolves that the Government renames and upgrades Kitale Technical Institute to be Wamalwa Kijana University of Science and Technology. The Constitution, 2010 is on premise of devolution. It recognises equal distribution of resources in the 47 counties.
