    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, let me from the outset say that what this Motion seeks is to establish a platform for structured engagement between this House and the Government of the Republic of Kenya to seek lasting solutions to what easily ranks today as the number one concern to the people of this country. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, a survey conducted by a local polling firm found that the one concern that is number one on the minds of the people of this country is the cost of living; the cost of transport, the cost of travel, the cost of basic essential commodities like maize-meal, sugar, milk and rice. This is a concern which both this House and the Government have a solemn duty to find ways of addressing. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to applaud measures that the Government has taken in a bid to redress this concern---"
