"content": "Yes, I was. However, senior Senator G.G. Kariuki has spoken in the language I wanted to speak in. I think we are turning parliamentary matters into some kind of a personal relationship between the Speaker of a certain House and the President so that he achieves what he wants to achieve. We are seeing that probably the Speaker of the Senate does not have the same chemistry as the one of the National Assembly and, therefore, his matters do not proceed the way they should proceed. However, that is not the way we should go. We should go the way the senior Senator has just said. Are we within the law? If we are within the law, then we should enforce it. We went to the Supreme Court and got a good statement from there. We could go back regarding all these Bills that have been signed, by-passing the Senate. We should make one finding in the court and that will bring some sense in all institutions. The Attorney-General is to blame because he is the one to take the Bills to the President as it used to be. I do not know whether that has changed. He is the legal advisor to the Executive. I understand that Bills are now signed even when the Attorney- General is not there.
