The Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) recognizes only 54 fully fledged tea factories and for which information they have given regarding emoluments of directors. From the information I have, satellite factories are not considered to be separate legal entities, completely separate from their parent companies. That is why there is no information regarding the emoluments of the directors in the companies. With regard to the regulation regarding election of directors after the satellite companies fulfill certain conditions, they will be fully fledged tea factories with separate identities.
