    "content": "Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I rise to support the amendment by hon. Ganya. The National Disaster Management Authority or the Fund which we are creating in essence has to be sustainable. It should be funded and kept for the purposes of mitigating these problems. In the past, we have had this problem whereby once a disaster occurs, that is the time the Government runs helter-skelter looking for money to mitigate the problem. But with proper funding, institutions put in place and proper forecasting done, in case of a disaster, we do not go looking for funds because we have catered for the purpose. I support."
