Members, I must, however, urge our colleagues in the Senate not to be involved in speculative postulations on matters pending before the National Assembly with the sole aim of misleading the public. Indeed, as communicated by the Deputy Speaker last week, the Mining Bill has been in the custody of the Clerk of the National Assembly since 29th October, 2014, when it was passed by the House for purposes of entering the numerous Committee Stage amendments made by the House. This Bill has never been presented to His Excellency the President for assent as misreported."
