    "content": "Thank you very much, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. At the close of business last Wednesday evening, I was emphasizing the point that the prime objective of establishing a Public Claims Bureau in each county on the basis proposed by the Select Committee is to facilitate settlement of claims and other dues owed to citizens in the counties by various institutions and agencies. The proposed Draft Bill has assigned specific functions to the bureaus that are proposed to be established in the counties. The bureaus will have specific functions namely: To receive claims for unsettled awards and other claims emanating from the residents of the county. The bureaus will then proceed to create a database of all the claims received. They will then proceed to ensure that the claims are validated by The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
