    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, most of what is harvested today is exported. Just to provide some details, approximately 700 metric tonnes is consumed in Nairobi. About 560 metric tonnes go to the paint industry, 86 metric tonnes go to the food industry and approximately 20 metric tonnes is used to produce ink. As I said, the current export price is US$2.3 per kilogramme. The collectors in the north earn about US$1.5 per kilogramme. Therefore, approximately US$1.8 million is going into the economy out of what is being harvested today."
