    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want to bring to your attention the fact that I am one of the hon. Members who have been de-whipped by the ODM, and that I have not been told the reason for that action. I only heard it from the media. I want to protest that it is not right for the ODM to start de-whipping Members even when they have done nothing. It is high time you invoked Standing Order No. 173, which provides that every Member of this House is supposed to be in a certain Committee. I am being de- whipped simply because I said that I would be supporting the Government of the day – something which, I am sure, our party leaders are also doing. This is the saddest day for the ODM. I am not going to take it lying down. I would want the Minority Whip to tell me why I should be removed from the committees without being informed. A lot of things have been done for the people of Nakuru Town West Constituency, whom I represent here. I said that the President of this Republic is the President of everybody, and that we support him. That is what I am doing. He does not belong to Luos."
