I beg to present the findings of the Departmental Committee on Environment and Natural Resources on the Environmental Management and Co-ordination (Amendment) Bill, 2014. The Environmental Management and Co-ordination (EMCA) Act, 1999, was able to provide a legal framework for the environment and was able to coordinate the implementation of 77 stand- alone legislation on environment. The EMCA Act was also able to enforce The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
