Every Tom, Dick and Harry goes for a two-weeks training and is suddenly an expert in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). The Committee on Environment and Natural Resources will be recommending the regulation of that sector so that there is a professional body and a mechanism to deal with the issue. Hon. Speaker, we will also be amending all the functions of NEMA so that we leave them with co-ordination functions only and not those of implementation."
