    "content": "The third function of PIC is to consider and examine, in the context of autonomy and efficiency of public investments, whether the affairs of public investments are being managed in accordance with sound financial or business principles and prudent commercial practices. This is also a critical function of PIC. We are supposed to find out whether State corporations are being managed in line with prudent business management, and whether they conform to the expectations of taxpayers, in line with the Constitution. This is where the current issues arise. The Report before the House is a product of this particular function – to find out whether a particular investment is being carried out in a prudent and sound financial practice. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, PIC has 27 Members. It is not like in the Tenth Parliament when we were 11 Members.
