    "content": "Under the Treaty Making and Ratification Act, 2012 that this House has passed, approval for Kenya to ratify any international treaty lies with the Cabinet and Parliament. In the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill that this House passed two months ago, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade has been given the sole mandate of passing those treaties and ratifications to the National Assembly. There is no other Ministry that can bring it to Parliament; it is the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade."
