"content": " Mr. Speaker, Sir, on the issue of peace and reconciliation, we are actually riding on it. A lot of people who were displaced especially from Uasin Gishu, have moved back to their land. We have reconstructed their houses which were burnt down and even given them livelihoods, so that they can move on with their lives. However, the persons who were in the IDP camps are the people, like I have said in this House before, who were not actually farmers. They were business people in the towns. The initiative they showed was that they wanted now to go into farming and that is why we looked into the possibility of settling them as small-scale farmers. We only pushed them into what they indicated that they wanted do."
