Senators, pursuant to Standing Order No. 227(1), the Petition stands committed to the relevant Standing Committee, in this case, the Standing Committee on Information and Technology. In terms of the Standing Order No. 227(2), the Committee will be required, in not more than 60 days from the time of reading the prayer, to respond to the petitioner or petitioners by way of a report laid on the Table of the Senate and no debate in relation to the report shall be allowed. I may also wish to add that since the matter has been before the House, that period should be dramatically reduced. Next Order!"
