According to the traditions of this House, whenever the Speaker is announced when the House is in the Committee of the Whole, the Speaker does not emerge from the Plenary; he or she emerges from the Speaker’s office. I would like you to guide the House whether you are satisfied that there is a Speaker in the House and whether you are satisfied that if there is a Speaker in the House, the way he came in the House, he did so in accordance with the Standing Orders of this Senate."
