    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to give notice of the following Motion:- THAT, noting with big concern the sharp rise in inflation and the cost of living that is devastating the livelihoods of millions of Kenyans and posing a threat to national stability; realizing that this challenge indeed is broad and cuts across a multiplicity of sectors and, therefore, requires multiple remedial measures; appreciating the stated willingness of the Government to consider proposals for lasting solutions to this challenge; cognizance of the urgency to have a solution to these economic challenges; this House resolves to establish a select committee to be known as the Parliamentary Select Committee on the Cost of Living to inquire into the factors fuelling the sharp rise in inflation and the cost of living in the country and table in Parliament within 30 days a comprehensive report with substantive recommendations on both immediate and long term remedial measures. The said Committee will comprise the following:-"
